Reviews
VIA EMILIA was absolutely lovely. The food, service, and atmosphere all exceeded expectations which were already sky high after reading the rave reviews. I so appreciated watching the owner take every table through the hand written menu while breaking down each dish’s components. If we could’ve eaten here everyday, we would without hesitation.
What a great find in Paris! We ate here for lunch and then made another reservation for a couple days later. Simple menu with attention to the quality and simplicity which to me is the definition of proper Italian cooking. The burrata appetizer was amazing and so was the mixed vegetables with mozzarella appetizer. The mozzarella is top quality and the burrata had a little bit of black truffle in the middle. All the stuffed pasta we had was amazing and loved that they all come in a simple butter and sage sauce. Trust Eric on wine recommendations by the glass to pair with your food. Service was attentive and friendly. We will be back next time we are in Paris.
We visited this restaurant in May and enjoyed ourselves so much.
For a start, we stumbled upon this place as we got rejected by other places for not having a prior reservation. This was the only place in the area that made the effort to accommodate us even though they were full (gave us counter seats by the wall).
In particular, I wanted to give a big shout-out to the owner (I presume) of the place. The level of service and passion he displayed was commendable. He took the effort not only to translate the entire menu, but also to explain them, going in great detail to share which regions the produce / dishes came from, explaining the different cuts of ham etc.
A lot of the dishes were new to me, and it was quite the experience trying them out for the very first time. Food wise, it was incredible, rustic and simple, yet so full of depth and flavours.
Thank you once again for the great meal. Truly enjoyed our experience.
words can't describe how memorable this place is. we were served by the owner himself who treated us to a complimentary beverage for a small but understandable reservation error. the thought that goes into the ingredients were very refreshing. specific flour that is better for digestion. regional ideologies and traditions. gotta love that stuff. best meal I had in Paris by far.
Skip the nonsense at the trendy Big Mamma Group. This is where you find legitimate, handmade ravioli and fantastic wine. Excellent service and incredible food in an intimate atmosphere. So glad we stumbled upon Via Emilia!
The best restaurant in paris! The host was very friendly. He explained the menu in detail. The wine he recommaned was a nice match with the food. During 8 days in paris, I have visited twice this restaurant. I will go this restaurant again when I come back paris. I sincerely thank you for the host and chef.
To be safe, make sure you make a reservation!
The food is great, but even greater is the absolute passion emanating from M. Eric. The rich menu makes it difficult to make a choice. Portions range from satisfying to copious.
We will definitely return!
Fabulous meal with fresh ingredients, tasty wine, and a passionate staff. Great experience and recommend a visit. Call early and ahead to get a reservation & enjoy
